Designed for high-performance extrusion systems, Phaetus Silicon Carbide (SiC) nozzles combine extreme material hardness with advanced thermal properties to meet the demands of professional and industrial-grade 3D printing. These nozzles are manufactured using sintered SiC ceramic, offering a hardness rating above 9.5 on the Mohs scale and thermal conductivity exceeding 170 W/m·K — ensuring rapid heat transfer and stable extrusion even under high-temperature conditions.

- Material: Sintered Silicon Carbide (SiC) with ultra-low thermal expansion coefficient (≤4.0 × 10⁻⁶/K)
- Hardness: ≥9.8 Mohs — resists wear from abrasive filaments such as carbon fiber, glass fiber, metal-filled, and glow-in-the-dark composites
- Thermal Conductivity: >170 W/m·K — maintains consistent melt flow and reduces thermal lag
- Surface Finish: Sub-micron polishing with Ra < 0.2 μm — minimizes friction and filament drag
- Endcoat coating (except V6 variant): Achieve double wear-resistant protection and significantly extend service life.
- Temperature Resistance: Stable up to 300°C (550 °C for V6 variant) — suitable for engineering-grade polymers including PEEK, PEI, and PPS
- Chemical Resistance: Inert to acids, alkalis, and most solvents — ideal for chemically reactive or hygroscopic materials
These nozzles are precision-machined to ensure concentricity and dimensional accuracy, reducing stringing and improving layer adhesion. The non-stick surface and low thermal inertia help maintain clean extrusion paths and reduce clogging, even during long prints with composite filaments.
