TE Connectivity Fused Filtered Power Inlet 10A (10EGG1-2)
Every 3D printer needs a proper mains entry, and this is the part for example the Voron BOM calls for. The TE Connectivity / Corcom 10EGG1-2 is a GG-series filtered power entry module that packs three jobs into a single panel-mount body: the IEC C14 inlet your mains lead plugs into, a general-purpose RFI/EMI filter, and two fuse holders that fuse both live and neutral.
The integrated filter is the reason to fit a module like this rather than a bare inlet. Switch-mode PSUs and stepper drivers are electrically noisy; the line filter attenuates that conducted noise before it leaves your printer, which keeps you on the right side of EMC behaviour and helps prevent mains-borne interference from upsetting nearby equipment. The dual fusing means both conductors are protected — sensible practice on any mains-powered machine that runs unattended.
It’s built to drop into the filtered-inlet mount used across Voron 2.4 and Trident builds, with 6.3 mm (0.250″) quick-connect spade terminals for fast, solderless wiring inside the electronics bay. As a genuine TE/Corcom part it carries UL Recognised, CSA Certified and VDE approvals, so you’re not gambling on unbranded mains hardware. Shipped from the UK by onetwo3D.
Highlights
- IEC 60320 C14 inlet, 10 A / 250 VAC, 50/60 Hz
- Integrated general-purpose RFI/EMI line filter for cleaner, EMC-friendly mains
- Dual 5×20 mm fuse holders — fuses both live and neutral
- 6.3 mm (0.250″) quick-connect terminals — no soldering required
- Flange / panel mount, sized for the standard Voron filtered-inlet cutout
- UL Recognised, CSA Certified, VDE Approved, RoHS compliant
Choosing your fuses
The module holds two 5×20 mm fuses (not included — buy the rating that suits your build). Fit time-delay (T / slow-blow) fuses so PSU inrush at power-on doesn’t nuisance-trip them, and use the same rating in both holders.
Size the rating to your total steady-state AC load at your mains voltage:
- 230–240 V, single 24 V DC PSU (DC-heated bed): a T5A–T6.3A is typical.
- 230–240 V with an AC silicone bed heater: the bed dominates the draw — size to the heater plus PSU, commonly T8A–T10A, and prefer ceramic fuses for their higher breaking capacity on the AC heater circuit.
- 100–120 V regions: current is roughly double for the same power, so step the rating up accordingly.
If in doubt, calculate total watts ÷ mains volts, add margin, and round to the nearest standard value. Don’t exceed the module’s 10 A rating.
What you’ll need to complete it
- A C13 mains lead for your region (not included)
- Two 5×20 mm fuses at your chosen rating (see above)
- Spade receptacles / pre-crimped leads for the quick-connect terminals
