LDO Compact Power Supply 48V (LCP300-48)
The LDO LCP300-48 delivers 300W of reliable power in a small, space-saving design. It uses modern Gallium Nitride (GaN) technology and active Power Factor Correction (PFC) to provide clean, efficient power for 3D printers.
With an output of 48V at 6.25A, this power supply works well in high-speed 3D printers and other 48V systems.
In addition, its small 120 × 95 × 35mm case fits easily into tight spaces. Multiple output terminals and AC pass-through connections also make wiring easier.
Key Features
- 300W output power: Delivers 48V DC at up to 6.25A.
- Modern GaN technology: Uses advanced parts to save space and improve efficiency.
- High efficiency: Reaches at least 91% efficiency, which helps reduce heat and energy loss.
- Active PFC: Improves power factor and reduces unwanted noise on the mains supply.
- Compact size: Measures just 120 × 95 × 35mm, so it fits into small spaces.
- Fully enclosed case: Protects the internal parts and makes mounting easier.
- Universal AC input: Works with 100–240V AC at 50/60Hz. Therefore, you don’t need to select the input voltage.
- Multiple DC outputs: Includes four positive and four negative terminals for easy wiring.
- AC pass-through: Provides extra AC terminals to help connect other mains-powered devices.
- Built-in safety features: Protects against overloads, high voltage, short circuits and excess heat.
Ideal for High-Speed 3D Printers
Many modern 3D printers use 48V power systems to improve motion performance. For example, suitable 48V stepper drivers can help motors keep their torque at higher speeds.
The LDO LCP300-48 supplies the stable 48V power these systems need. As a result, it is a great choice for new printer builds, upgrades and other 48V projects.
Furthermore, its small case saves space inside the printer. You can also connect several devices using the built-in screw terminals. This makes wiring simpler and helps keep your electronics area tidy.
Simple Wiring and Installation
LDO designed the LCP300-48 to make installation as easy as possible.
AC Input and Pass-Through
The power supply accepts 100–240V AC mains power. It also has two sets of AC terminals.
As a result, you can connect other AC devices through the PSU without adding separate terminal blocks.
The M3 AC terminals support up to 12A of pass-through current. For a secure fit, LDO recommends SV2-3 or similar fork terminals.
48V DC Outputs
The PSU includes four positive and four negative screw terminals. Therefore, you can connect several 48V devices without extra power splitters.
For safe and secure wiring, use suitable wire ferrules up to VE1508 size. However, make sure the total load stays within the PSU’s rated output.

Built-in Safety Features
The LCP300-48 includes several safety features to help protect your printer and its electronics.
- Overload protection: If the load exceeds the safe limit, the PSU shuts down its output. It then restarts once you remove the overload.
- Short-circuit protection: If a short circuit occurs, the PSU cuts off its DC output. After you fix the fault, it restores power.
- Overvoltage protection: If the output voltage rises too high, the PSU shuts down to protect the system.
- Overtemperature protection: If the case reaches over 110°C, the PSU switches off its output. It then restarts once the temperature drops below 80°C.
Together, these features help keep your 3D printer running safely and reliably.
Cooling and Installation Tips
The LCP300-48 provides up to 300W of continuous power. LDO also lists a maximum combined output of 310W.
However, the PSU can get hot when you run it near its power limit. Therefore, LDO recommends extra airflow over the case during heavy use.
Good cooling helps the PSU run well and can also extend its working life.
Important: This PSU uses high-voltage mains power. Therefore, only a suitably qualified person should install it. Always use proper wiring, earthing and electrical protection. Also, make sure you leave enough space for airflow and only connect devices that support 48V DC.
